For over a century, mining scarred this land and displaced its wildlife. Today, thanks to EPA remediation and the City of Webb City’s ongoing restoration efforts, the Cardinal Valley Habitat Restoration Area is healing.  But there is still important work ahead.

How Donations Are Used

• Habitat Restoration – planting native trees, shrubs, wildflowers, and prairie grasses to rebuild healthy ecosystems.

• Educational - programs, teaching aids, activity kits, outreach and event materials.

• Wildlife Monitoring – citizen science efforts supporting birds, bats, and pollinators.

• Recreational Improvements – kiosks, trail signage, building bird observation blinds, and expanding learning opportunities.

• Conservation Tools & Supplies – nest boxes, monitoring equipment, garden tools, and essential materials.
